Traditional Fair isle designs, revisited and modernized.

This sweater has a small turtleneck, and is knitted entirely in the round, from top to bottom. The yoke is a little tight around the shoulders, then widens with much greater ease around the body and sleeves. The lower part of the body is cropped, tightened at the hem to give a flattering rounded look around the waist. Wrist-length sleeves have a rounded shape, thanks to tapers on the lower half. The lower sleeves are then tightened into snug cuffs to accentuate the cocoon-like roundness of this very modern Fair Isle sweater.

Rather than sending you complete bales for the contrasting colors, we've separated them in sufficient quantity to make this sweater. This way, you avoid having too much leftover wool, and it's also more economical for you.

Knitting kit includes:

• Required amount of Pernilla wool by Filcolana (100% wool)

You'll need (not included in the kit):

• French and English pattern to buy on Ravelry
• Circular needles: 3 and 3.5mm (or the size needed to achieve the tension requested in the pattern)
• Markers
• Blocking kit

Difficulty level: intermediate / advanced

Important tip: this sweater was made with a 28-stitch sample rather than the 23-stitch sample requested in the pattern. Follow the chart below to choose your size based on this sample.
