Velen is a spring/summer crop top worked from the top down with a simple knit and purl texture. The upper body is worked flat to create the V-neck and the sleeves are constructed using a contiguous method. The rest of body and the sleeves are worked in the round and are finished with a tiny picot bind-off.

We suggest Sabri which is a very popular yarn at Pure Laine. It is beyond perfect for summer... A soft blend of cotton and alpaca!

Kit includes:

Recommended amount of Sabri by Illimani (85% organic cotton / 15% baby alpaga)

You will need (not included with kit):

Pattern: English pattern to purchase on Raverly
Needles: 2.5 - 3 mm / US 1½ - US 2½ circular needle. It will be important to make your sample and get 24 stiches for 10 cm. You may need to adjust the needles accordingly.

Level: intermediate

Designer note: this pattern is for intermediate/advanced knitters. Once the textured stitch is in place, it will be necessary to be able to read your knitting to continue incorporating the pattern while continuing to shape the upper body.

Final size: 1, 2, 3 (4, 5, 6){7, 8, 9}

Garment bust circ: 33 ¼, 36, 40 (42 ¾, 45 ½, 49 ¼){53 ¼, 56, 60}“ // 85, 91, 102 (108, 115, 125){135, 142, 152} cm
