The Glenbrook scarf is designed for less knitting and more warmth. It is half the length of a traditional winter scarf, but the loop allows it to be tied easily and securely around the neck. When not in use, the scarf rolls up and can be secured with the loop for storage. The scarf starts from the loop. You start with a Judy's Magic Cast On, then you knit in stocking stitch for a while. Then you join the edges to form a tube. The rest of the scarf is knitted in ribbing with held double yarns. The edge is finished with a tubular bind-off. The pattern (not included in the kit) includes a photo guide for each step, so there's no need to worry if you haven't tried some of these techniques before.
