This delicate shawl delicately blends different techniques to create an elegant and playful accessory that will keep your neck and shoulders warm when a gentle summer breeze comes up. The body of the shawl is worked in garter stitch, with a variegated (or not!) color, and it fades to the second color - tone on tone or solid - that is used to work the border. The lace border features a pattern that resembles butterflies, and an openwork pattern that expands with each row, to create a frilly border.
